Elégante et raffinée, vêtue d'atours d'une sophistication extrême, la geisha constitue un symbole érotique fort. Cultivée, elle est un objet de divertissement et vend ses charmes au terme d'un rituel d'effeuillage très codifié.

From the past, chinese women have always been represented with tamed and sujected pose and attitudes. Nowadays, such representations no longer correspond to any reality in main western countries. As so, the Geishas I paint are very sensual and proud of their feminity. I choose the symbol of geishas because even though they sell their charms, they are also very educated. Not only do they play shamisen, they also know calligraphy and tea ceremonial.
